Hello. My name is Ray Hall.
I have been a Stonemason
for over 40 years.
25 of those years have been spent
here in Atlanta as a self-employed contractor.
I was born and raised in central Alabama, where the Hall name is synonymous with stone work.
My father taught me the trade.
Many of my brothers, nephews, uncles,
and cousins are stonemasons.

I work in the broad spectrum
of stone work
from rustic to formal,
from simple and functional to exotic,
from new construction to renovation,
from small to large.

I have worked with historic preservation groups where methods and
materials had to be carefully researched.

I have worked in historic neighborhoods, like Inman Park,
where period integrity had to be maintained.

I build retaining walls, patios, walkways, fireplaces, bridges,
pool decks, interior floors, etc.

I intentionally keep my operation on a smaller scale than many installers.
I do this because I love the hands on work I do myself, and to insure
the quality and experience that I feel must go into each of my works.
I want my works to be around and bring joy to my great grandchildren,
and to yours.
